Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.
Covenant är ju en av mina favoritserier, men jag måste faktiskt säga att jag är aningen besviken på Apollyon, och jag tyckte inte att den var riktigt lika bra som de andra böckerna.
Handlingen var både tråkig och spännande. Det hände egentligen inte så mycket och det var knappt någon action förrän i slutet. Apollyon kändes mest som en uppbyggnad inför den stora finalen, och jag tvekar inte på att den femte boken, Sentinel, kommer att vara helt epic.
Jag älskar alltid Jennifer L. Armentrouts karaktärer och Alex går bara från klarhet, till klarhet. I Apollyon har hon äntligen växt upp och är inte lika impulsiv och hetsig längre, vilket jag bara finner positivt. Jag älskar hennes utveckling och tycker att Armentrout har gjort ett utomordentligt jobb med den.
Jag gillar Aiden mer och mer, och precis som jag sa i min recension av Deity, så förstår jag äntligen varför Alex älskar honom. Jag gillar att jag fått lära känna Aiden mer på djupet och han är något av en favorit hos mig.
Seth är inte med speciellt mycket och jag saknar honom lite, trots hur han har blivit. Jag hoppas att han går att rädda och jag tycker väldigt synd om honom. Han vill ju bara bli älskad.
Slutet var förstås fantastiskt bra och jag gillade cliffhangern. Trots att jag inte tycker att Apollyon höll samma standard som Armentrouts andra böcker, är det fortfarande en väldigt bra bok och jag gillade den mycket.

"Oh, gods," I muttered, remembering where I'd heard this before. "Wasn't that a season finale on Supernatural?" When the boys nodded, my eyes rolled. "Seriously? Are Sam and Dean going to be there?”
“Wait. Is this book about aliens?”
She snatched it back from me. “Yes.”
“Really?”
“But they’re hot aliens.” She tapped on the guy’s face with one thin finger. “And he can be my ET any day.”
“My eyes locked the fury's and I smiled.
She hesitated.
I snapped to my feet. "Bitch, please.”
“We had no idea what waited ahead of us, other than the big, fat unknown, and most likely a big, fat kick in the face. The gravity of that was killing me-killing us
I squared my shoulders. "Release the Kraken!"
Several sets of eyes settled on me.
"What?" I gave a lopsided shrug. "I've always wanted to yell that since I saw that movie. Seemed like the perfect moment.”
