Jag hade inga särskilda förväntningar på The Girl of Fire and Thorns och det kanske var just därför som jag kom att älska den så mycket. Redan från första kapitlet var jag fast i berättelsen och trots att det är en aningen långsam historia så var den samtidigt oerhört spännande. Jag var dessutom väldigt förtjust i huvudkaraktären Elisa, och jag älskar att hon inte var den typiska huvudrollen.
En väldigt bra början på en fantasyserie som jag är övertygad kommer att sluta upp bland mina absoluta favoriter. Jag tänker genast påbörja uppföljaren och hoppas på att den är minst lika bra. Rekommenderas varmt.

The Crown of Embers var minst lika bra som sin föregångare, och jag tror faktiskt att jag älskade den ännu mer än vad jag gjorde med första boken. Handlingen var så spännande och det var nästan omöjligt att sluta läsa. Dessutom så avgudar jag Elisa och Hector, både var för sig och tillsammans.
Slutet var både fantastiskt och elakt, och jag är så glad att jag har sista boken i serien hemma. Jag skulle ha dött om jag hade behövt vänta på fortsättningen. Vilken jag såklart tänker påbörja nu på en gång. Rekommenderas varmt.

Den här serien har verkligen tagit mig med storm och jag hade ärligt talat inte förväntat mig att den skulle vara så här bra. Jag har älskat handlingen och karaktärerna från den första till den sista sidan, och avslutningen i The Bitter Kingdom är en av mina absoluta favoriter. Det hela har varit alldeles fantastiskt bra och Rae Carson får en plats bland mina favoritförfattare. Fire and Thorns trilogin har innehållit allt jag önskar mig av en fantasyserie och jag rekommenderar den mer än gärna.

I've actually been waiting for your reviews for this series! So, I actually DNFed the first book, I'd heard a lot of great things about this series and I read about half of it, but for whatever reason the main character rubbed me the wrong way and I was uninterested in the whole storyline so I gave up reading it after reading half in one sitting. HOWEVER, I've recently begun thinking about giving it another try and your reviews sealed the deal, I highly trust your opinion, especially on fantasy, therefore at some point I will try this series again.

Oh, and I loved this series so much. I know Elisa's a bit whiny in the beginning, but she really grows during the series. And I loved the storyline, even though it was a bit slow sometimes. I'm superhappy to hear that my reviews made you change your mind, and I really hope you're going to like it this time.
